This is a great article.  Anyone who has read articles from American media sources that paint the US in a bad light should read this (and the linked articles) for a full balanced understanding of the outcome.  As it turns out, all the US wants is for EVERYONE to join in the battle, not just the "Wealthy" countries.  Oh, and the US isn't the only one who's standing their ground.  Russia also had their part of the pie.

To be fair, there are a few people out there who got it right, but not in such an eloquent way.

I've told you several times that the whole Global Warming hype is just a scam.  But to scam what and who?  Well, NewsBusters has finally pieced the last parts of the puzzle together.  What's the scam?  To get money in the form of a "carbon  tax" or a "coal tax".  Who are they targeting?  The wealthier countries, specifically the US.  Don't believe me?  Check this out:

“Finally someone will pay for these [climate related] costs,” Othmar Schwank, a global tax advocate, told Inhofe EPW Press Blog following the panel discussion titled “A Global CO2 Tax.” Schwank is a consultant with the Switzerland based Mauch Consulting firm Schwank said at least “$10-$40 billion dollars per year” could be generated by the tax, and wealthy nations like the U.S. would bear the biggest burden based on the “polluters pay principle.” The U.S. and other wealthy nations need to “contribute significantly more to this global fund,” Schwank explained. He also added, “It is very essential to tax coal.”

Be prepared to begin seeing UN taxes on our income taxes if Gore has his way.  Socialism, here we come!
