2月19日 Lather, Rinse, RepeatMan, it sucked to be me when my wife brought it to me, all wet and in pieces. So, for the rest of the weekend, I didn't have my phone. Luckly the battery came out and wasn't powering the device for very long in the water. So, I just left it to dry as long as I could wait.
I put the battery in last night, and it worked! I could dial numbers, all of the data was there and it seemed to function just fine. The only things I could see as wrong were the screen had a 'holographic' type of effect when you viewed it at an angle and the T-Zones keept on starting up. I pulled the battery out to let it dry a bit more just to make sure there wasn't permanent damage. Well, tonight, the phone works perfectly and the screen is even clearning up. My luck is holding up so far. I've used at least 95% of the functionality of the phone and it all works. 2月15日 SoundPolitics Blog RollSoundPolitics has included me in their Conservative Blogroll and full Blogroll. So, this is just a quick Thank You to them I really feel for them...You know, ever since the Democrat Party took control of Congress there's one group that seems to always get trounced on and trampled. It's one group that really doesn't need the kind of crap that the Democrat Party is dishing out. And I really, really feel for these people. It's not the Republicans, or the White House, or even the Right Wing Bloggers (present!). It's the Military. Not only are the Democrat Party and their affiliates calling the Military everything from inept to war criminals, they are now trying to make their job even harder than they had before. And the shocker, it's coming from the Democrat Parties token war hero, John Murtha. Apparently Murtha has a pea-brained idea that will put conditions on the next installment of funding for the solders in Iraq.
It's clear that they are the men and women in Iraq fighting to give Iraq back their country. It's clear that Murtha knows that he's going to be responsible for making their job more difficult and making sure that they understand the he doesn't support them. Not like the Democrat Party has been making it easy. Really, it makes me sick. Especially from someone who is supposed to be a war hero. Oh yeah, and he supports the military, riiiight.
There was a recent article / interview with some of the solders there in Iraq who were feeling that Congress has it in for them. I wish I could find it again, cause it really put what Congress is doing and saying in perspective. 2月6日 Zune ProblemsIt seems that there's a few people who are experiencing the same problem that I was. The Zune software would freeze during sync or other opperations. The solution, as I mentioned before in my Zune Tips & Tricks post, is to connect your Zune to a USB port in the back of the computer that's connected directly to the motherboard. Now, I didn't say exactly why, and neither did my source. However, someone sent me a link that tells us exactly why this is happening. Apparently, the USB Ports that are on the front of your computer aren't really made for high bandwidth data transfer. You know, MP3 players, Hard Drives, etc. Read it here. So, this isn't a Zune issue specifically, just a hardware design flaw that is brought out by people using the Zune. 2月5日 Lt. Col. Watada - could use a lesson in history...Listening to the radio this morning, some supporters of Lt. Col. Watada really got me going. I mean really.
The thing that really got me was that they were trying to elevate this skunk to a "hero" status. A Hero! I'm sorry, but going back on your words, leaving the men that trained under you as forsaken, and trying to undermine the top of the chain of command doesn't sound like things a Hero does. You want to know what a Hero did that was in a simular situation as Watada did? Just search for "conscientious objector" and "congressional medal of honor" and you'll end up reading one of the many articles about a Pfc. Desmond Doss who served in World War II and was a Conscientious Objector. Read a bit about him, seriously. He was a man who acted in the best interest of those who he served with and is a Hero in the true meaning of the word.
I think that those that support Watada should read up on what a military Hero really does and re-think what they say. |
