Well, actually, today is day 2 since I started my quest at reaching Las Vegas yesterday.  Being delayed 4 hours in Portland of all places isn't the best way to spend a day.  More on that later.

Currently, I'm sitting in the overflow waiting for the keynote presentation to start.  There's the typical video screen setup for CCTV.  What's on it is a young Asian (sorry, not sure of his exact ethnicity, never was good at guessing) singing Johnny Cache songs.  It's kind of weird.  At first, i was working on some emails and all the sudden it started.  I didn't look up for a song or so and thought it was just a recording with some MIX logo displayed.  Then I looked up and thought there was a mismatch.  The kid does a really good job.  ("I walk the line" is his current song).  He's even got the clothes to fit the theme.  Impressive.  The kid is good.

Keynote Demos:

IE 8 - Need to look into the WebSlice feature.  That's pretty cool.  Especially for Forums and Threads.  The beta for IE8 is available at the MS site.

MSN is doing a really, really, cool thing with the Olympics.  We're talking things that you would normally do with a TIVO, all on an Web App.  Very cool! 

Hard Rock has a cool app that shows their collection.  Take a real close look at Bo Diddily's red guitar.  I mean really close.
